The rubric for class participation is fair and straight forward. The only problem that I saw is if you have one little slip up it can cost you. Overall I think the teacher was not over demanding and will work with you as long as you follow through the rubric as best you can. Now I need to watch my cough cough sick days but I think the class is going to be really enjoyable.

I think the class participation rubric is fair and balanced and accurately reflects the student’s true efforts in and out of class. Although more than reasonable, it seems as though one certain category mandates a specific overall grade. I am somewhat concerned that if a student’s performance is high in all four categories but lacking in one, the overall grade will suffer. I think there should be some leeway with the rubric for those who come dangerously close to the mark for a specific grade.
