Day 7 (September 26)This is a featured page

(15 minutes)
Trade daybooks with a member of your writing group. Read your partner's responses for the exercise you completed for homework on developing a research question. Then, underneath your partner's work, write a response to the following:
Of the three or four questions your partner has authored, which one would you most like to have answered? Why? What do you already know, need to know, or want to know about this issue? Why is it significant? Using the chart on page 39 of the Bedford Researcher, suggest a revision of the question and/or another possible focus for the research question. Also, suggest some genres that could be used as an interesting way to "answer" that question.

(15 minutes)
Return daybooks to their rightful owners, read and discuss your responses. Articulate for each other your understanding of the proposals that are due next week during conferences and decide on a time that your group can meet with me (T, Th, or F between the hours of 8am and 1pm). As a group, jot down any questions you have for your instructor about the research prospectus.

(15 minutes)
Participate in a Q & A with your instructor about the prospectus due next week while a conference sign-up sheet is passed around the class.
