Final draft of MGRP must be delivered to my office by 5pm Monday, December 3rd. No late portfolios will be accepted. Place your MGRP in the box and sign your initials beside your name on the roster.

Don't forget your oath to complete the SOIS evaluation for this class. It is very important to me to have honest student feedback to help me prepare for future ENGL 1200 classes.

Here is the information I have been sent for the online administration of surveys:
We will send an announcement and several reminders to your students with a link to the OneStop. When students access the SOIS via the OneStopwebsite, they can select their courses from a list and will be routed to the appropriate version of the SOIS. The SOIS Survey Period is OPEN: November 19 – midnight December 2 Your ratings and comments are important for improving instruction and developing courses. A report of the ratings is given to department chairs for use in decisions of promotion and tenure of instructors. To complete the survey, please read all of these instructions: 1. Use your web browser to go to http://onestop.ecu.edu 2. Login to the ECU Onestop using your ECU Exchange email userid and password. 3. On the ‘Tools’ tab, please scroll to find the ‘Surveys” section and click on ‘Student Opinion of Instruction Survey’. 4. You’ll see a list of your current course(s) in this survey. Click on ‘Take Survey’ by a course and answer the questions. 5. When you are done, click on ‘submit survey’ and wait for a Thank You message. If you don’t see a Thank You, your submittal probably did not work. In this case, log out of the OneStop and then try the whole process again. Once you successfully submit your responses for a course, you cannot evaluate that course again. 6. Please follow these steps for each course you see listed. Give your answers quickly. You have 30 minutes before getting timed out. 7. If your OneStop session times out, you will notice this when you submit your survey. If you get a message that the session timed out, log back in to the OneStop immediately—this will submit the responses that you had given up to the time you clicked on the ‘submit survey’ button. 8. When you have successfully submitted responses for each course in the list, you will see the message “NO COURSES TO SURVEY”. Your survey responses will be handled confidentially by the office of Institutional Planning, Research, & Effectiveness (IPRE). After grades are posted, your instructor will receive only a group summary of the responses, along with any comments that you provide. Your name or ID will not be included in these results. Please do not include your name or identifying information in your comments, since they will be given to your instructor just as you write them. Problems/Questions? If you can’t access the survey, make mistakes completing it, or have questions, please read the following information before contacting me. This may be the quickest way to resolve your problem. (1) Please be sure which course you are evaluating. If you realize you have the wrong course in mind, do not hit the submit button, but go back and change your responses with the correct course in mind. Please let your instructor know what happened. If you get your courses confused, we cannot “undo” or “reset” your responses; you must change them before you click on the Submit button. (2) Be clear about what your ratings mean. The LOWER your ratings (eg, 1,2,3) the more you disagree with the statements, while the HIGHER your ratings (eg, 5,6,7) the more you agree with the statements in the survey form. If you get these reversed, please let your instructor know what happened. We cannot “undo” or reset your responses; you must change them before you click on the Submit button. (3) If you use an off-campus computer a firewall may prevent you from accessing the survey. Please try again on a different computer or from a different location.
