Due in Class Wednesday, April 2, 2008This is a featured page

If you plan to conduct a survey for one of your two primary sources, read through pg. 99-103 in the Bedford Researcher to help you design and implement it.

Read Chapter 8 in the Bedford Researcher, and use what you learn to help you develop a prelimary thesis statement for your traditional research essay (log in your daybook) and annotate your sources. Remember that you must find and begin to read/annotate two scholarly research articles (these are tough and will take some time to understand) from peer-reviewed journals accessed through Joyner databases as we covered in class on Monday.

This should bring your total source count to eight: two primary (interview, observation, and/or survey), two tangible sources from Joyner (reference materials, books, government documents, pamphlets, videos, and/or microform/fiche), two electronic sources (websites, electronic books), and two scholarly journal articles. We will cover blogs, newsgroups, and usergroups on Wednesday.
