Read over the Service-Learning Materials provided to you by Jessica and the materials uploaded here. To make an informed decision about the agency you wish to work with, conduct a bit of internet research to find out about both your organization and the population they serve. For example, if you choose to work with Vegetarians in Pitt County, see what you can find in a Google search about them. Then use the search term "vegetarian" to find an article or website about vegetarianism. Read through to make sure this is a placement to which you would be well-suited. If so, print the materials and add to the 3rd section of your 3-ring binder and/or save your results in an electronic folder on your hard or flash drive. If the organization and/or population does not seem like a good fit for you, then repeat until you find a placement that works for you. On Wednesday you will be asked to commit to an agency and placed in groups based on your decision.
